Terms
Purpose
These terms set the conditions for using Nolta (nolta.kr), operated by 제이스톤, and the responsibilities of the operator and the player.
If this English text and the Korean text differ, the Korean text controls.
Words
- Service: the games, type tests, quizzes, ranks, and share cards on Nolta
- Operator: 제이스톤
- Player: a person who opens the service
- Record: a score or result saved on the server
- Share card: a public page that shows a record or result
Posting and changes
These terms apply from the time they are posted on the service.
The operator may change the terms when the service or the law changes. The new terms are posted on this page with an effective date. Using the service after that date means the new terms are accepted. A player who does not accept them should stop using the service.
The service
The service is free and has no accounts.
The operator may add, change, pause, or end items. Changes that can be announced in advance are posted on this page or the home page. Action taken for an outage, security, or the law may be announced after it happens.
A score outside the range the service accepts is not saved.
Records and what is public
An in-range game or quiz score is saved to this week’s board without pressing Share.
A type result is saved when the player shares it.
The name, score or type, share sentence, and percentages when the result has them are public on the board or the share card. Anyone with the share link can open that card.
A player may use only a name that is all right to publish. A name must not contain another person’s contact details, account, or legal name, or anything else that identifies that person.
An empty name is filled with a generated name.
The player allows the service to display the name, score, type result, and share sentence on the service and on the share card. That permission ends when the record is deleted.
What players must not do
A player does not do any of the following.
- Use a name, or leave content, that breaks the law
- Infringe another person’s rights or personal information
- Stack records with an automated program, or load the server on purpose
- Copy the questions, pictures, or writing onto another service without permission
Sending your own result link to someone you know is not that kind of copying.
What the operator may do
The operator may delete a record, or remove it from the board, when it breaks the rules above, appears to have been stacked automatically, or interferes with the service.
The operator may delete records or pause the service for an outage, security, capacity, or the operation of the service.
What a result means
Games, quizzes, and type tests are for fun. A result is not a medical, psychological, legal, career, or relationship diagnosis or piece of advice.
A rank and a score are the order of records saved that week. They are not a qualification, a measure of ability, or an official assessment.
Rights in the service
The writing, questions, choices, pictures, screen layout, and logo belong to the operator.
A player may use the service personally. Copying the questions and results to build a similar service is not allowed.
Ads
Google AdSense ads may appear on the service.
The ad and the page it opens belong to the advertiser. Unless the operator acted intentionally or with gross negligence, the operator is not responsible for a transaction or a loss that comes from an ad.
Limits of responsibility
The service is provided free and as it is. The operator does not promise that it fits a particular purpose, that it will always be available, that records and ranks will always remain, or that it has no errors.
Unless the operator acted intentionally or with gross negligence, the operator is not responsible for the following.
- A change, pause, or end of the service
- Deletion or loss of a record, or a change in rank
- An error in a result or sentence provided for free
- The player’s device, browser, or connection
- A decision the player makes after seeing a result
- The contents of an ad or an outside site
These limits do not apply to a loss caused by the operator’s intentional act or gross negligence.
A player’s responsibility
If a player’s name or use infringes someone’s rights or breaks the law, and a claim is made against the operator, the player handles that claim at the player’s own cost.
If the operator had no intentional act or gross negligence and still incurs a cost because of that claim, the player covers that cost.
Law and courts
These terms follow the law of the Republic of Korea.
A dispute is heard by the court that the Civil Procedure Act assigns.
